April 20th Is fast approaching and with cannabis law reform such a hot topic in the news and the sun looking like its coming out to join us – it’s looking to be the biggest cannabis gathering the UK has ever seen! This is a fantastic opportunity to have fun with friends, and take part in a mass act of peaceful civil disobedience. There will be loads of pictures taken on Sunday and these images will be used to articulate what happened to those that didn’t attend. It’s important that more than just the images of people lighting up in a park are passed on to the rest of the world.
LONDON, HYDE PARK, SPEAKERS CORNER 12PM ONWARDS – TALK AT 3:30PM
Signs, Placards and slogans are the best way to explain why you came to light up. They carry simple messages that are very photogenic for news photographers. Why not make one and let your feelings about it’s illegality be known? You can make your own by hand or print out some of the slogans we have below for download. Try sticking them onto a stiff material like card so that the message doesn’t get distorted in Hyde Parks’ hazy wind. Here are some inspiration and examples for you to download… have a scroll left and right of our gallery of the posters we have made up.
Keep it simple Try fit fit your message into as few a words as possible. The smaller the slogan, the bigger the letters and the easier it is for others to read. If people want more information, they can ask you for it!
